📍 Region Selection (Country / Province)
An athlete’s place of residence does not affect the competition process but serves as a useful filter in the leaderboard.
During registration, all participants are required to select their province or region of residence to enable the display of top performances by location.
Special Cases:
- Military Personnel:
Must select the province of their permanent duty station. - Frequent Travelers:
Must choose the region they typically return to as their home base. - Students:
Must register using their current address, whether in a dormitory or private residence near their place of study.
Note:
Once selected, the region cannot be changed. It is used solely as a filter on the leaderboard and does not affect competition placement.
🧑🏫 Coach Selection
During the registration process, athletes have the option to select their coach.
This season, Wodex aims to identify and recognize top coaches across the country based on two key metrics:
- The number of registered athletes under their supervision
- The performance quality of their athletes in the leaderboard
Choosing a coach not only supports better performance analysis, but can also play a key role in your technical development and competitive success.

🎯 WOD Formats
How WODs Are Announced and Execution Requirements
The format for each competition WOD is officially published by Wodex and uniformly communicated to all athletes.
Athletes are required to perform the WODs exactly according to the prescribed format.
The WOD format includes the following elements:
- Required Movements
- Start and End Positions for Each Movement
- Number of Repetitions and/or Repetition Patterns
- Layout of the Competition Area or Environment, if applicable
- Required Equipment
- Weight Specifications
(All weights are stated in kilograms. It is the athlete’s responsibility to select the correct weights. If using pound plates, athletes must choose the appropriate combination. Clips (collars) are not counted in the total weight.) - Time Limits or Time Caps
- Scoring Details
(Scores will be announced prior to the start of the WOD. The method for determining the winner may be based on the highest or lowest score, or a combination of both.) - Video Recording and Submission Instructions
Athlete Obligations:
At all times, athletes must adhere strictly to the announced format. This includes:
- Performing movements according to standards
- Completing the required number of repetitions
- Using the prescribed equipment and loads
- Respecting time limits
- Following all video submission guidelines
Important Warning:
Any alteration or deviation from the official WOD format in any form is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification of that WOD’s score.
Only Wodex is authorized to publish the official WOD formats to the athletes.

Athlete Video Submission and Scoring Requirements
Athletes must submit their videos and scores within the specified deadlines.
No scores submitted after the deadline will be accepted under any circumstances.
To register a score, athletes must first upload their video to YouTube, then submit the video link and score via the Wodex app (see Score Submission Guide).
Athletes bear full responsibility for timely and accurate submission of their event videos and scores.
Incomplete submissions (e.g., incorrect scores or wrong video links) will not be accepted.
Wodex reserves the right to extend submission deadlines in cases of unforeseen circumstances.
YouTube Video Guidelines:
- Videos must contain original content created by the athlete, and all usage rights (including music) must be owned by them.
- Videos must be uploaded to YouTube with Public visibility.
- Videos must comply with YouTube Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
- By submitting a video, the athlete grants Wodex a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, broadcast, and display the video for scoring and promotional purposes.
- The athlete agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Wodex from any claims or damages arising from third parties regarding the submitted video.
Reasons for Score Adjustment or Rejection May Include:
- Failure to follow video recording instructions (e.g., improper angle, distance, or lighting that hinders correct judging).
- Wearing clothing that obstructs accurate assessment of movements by judges.
- Violations of WOD format or movement standards.
- Errors in repetition counting.
Important Notes:
Athletes should have a person supervising their performance to ensure all repetitions meet the standards.
Before submitting, athletes must review their video to confirm that the camera angle, lighting, and video quality allow judges to properly evaluate the movements.
Judging and Result Confirmation
Judging and official confirmation of WOD results are essential for validating scores in Wodex competitions.
Judges are responsible for enforcing movement and workout standards as well as confirming athlete scores.
Four Possible Judging Outcomes:
- Valid Video:
The athlete adheres to movement standards, and the submitted score is correct. The score is accepted. - Valid with Penalty:
The athlete fails to fully comply with standards, resulting in a score adjustment or penalty. - Zero Score or Disqualification:
If the athlete cannot complete the WOD correctly or fully, judges may assign a disqualification score.
Disqualified athletes may continue to compete in other events, and their other scores will remain on the leaderboard. - Invalid:
If an athlete intentionally manipulates the WOD to gain an unfair advantage, the disciplinary committee reserves the right to completely remove the athlete from the competition.
Time Penalties
Wodex applies time penalties based on the specific movements and conditions of each WOD, which may vary by exercise type.
Penalty criteria may be updated, and detailed rules will be publicly announced before competitions.
Score Adjustment Examples with Penalties:
- No-Rep:
Any failure to perform a movement correctly according to Wodex rules may result in a time penalty, e.g., 5 seconds per No-Rep.
For example, 5 No-Reps equal a 25-second time penalty. - Incorrect Start / Wrong Position:
Starting before the official start or from an incorrect position results in a 10-second penalty. - Obstructed or Out-of-Frame Movements:
If a movement is partially obscured or not fully visible, that repetition is counted as a No-Rep.
If the movement is entirely out of frame, only repetitions visible in frame will count toward the score. - Incorrect Setup:
Athletes failing to comply with setup requirements (loading, measuring, camera placement) may be disqualified.
Time Cap and Penalty Example:
If time penalties cause the athlete’s total time to exceed the Time Cap, the final score will be the number of correctly completed repetitions within the Time Cap.
For instance, in the workout “Fran” (90 reps, 6-minute Time Cap), an athlete finishing at 5:30 with a 60-second penalty (total 6:30) will have their score adjusted to the number of reps completed by minute 6 — i.e., 81 reps.
Protest Request
In case of receiving a penalty, the athlete may submit a protest to the designated official responsible for handling disputes.
The head judge of the competition will review the submitted video and announce the final decision.
Only the athlete themselves has the right to file a protest; coaches or other individuals are not permitted to do so on the athlete’s behalf.
🏆 Leaderboard
The official leaderboard will be published through the Wodex app.
Athletes in each division are ranked based on their performance relative to other competitors.
At each stage, an athlete’s final score is calculated as the sum of their ranks across all WODs.
For example, an athlete with ranks 2nd, 3rd, and 5th will have a total score of 10 (2 + 3 + 5 = 10).
In this system, lower scores indicate higher rankings.
In case of a tie in total scores, priority is given to the athlete with the best individual rank in a single WOD.
If the tie persists, subsequent WOD performances will be reviewed until the tie is broken.
After an athlete submits a score, their score will appear in orange on the leaderboard.
This score is unofficial and has not yet been verified by judges.
Once the judging team reviews and confirms the video, the final score will be published in green on the official leaderboard (see the complete leaderboard guide).
If an athlete does not submit a score for an event, they will be ranked at the bottom among all athletes who submitted scores for that WOD.
However, they will not be removed from the overall leaderboard and may continue to participate and earn scores in subsequent events.

🎁 Prizes
The initial prize pool for this competition is set at 500 million Iranian Rials.
As the number of participants increases, the prize value will also increase accordingly.
Exact prize amounts will be announced after the registration deadline, based on the final number of participants.
Prize Recipients:
At the end of the competition, the following will receive awards:
- First, second, and third place winners in each division
- Top Coach (based on the number and performance of the athletes under their supervision)
Top Coach Selection:
The top coach will be selected based on a combination of the number of athletes participating in the league under their guidance and the final ranking positions of those athletes on the leaderboard.
